Friday night found us at Beth's house with Carter and our friends, Mindi, Elli, and Ava - MISSION: dying Easter eggs, decorating cookies, and lots of laughing and running around!
THE CREW:

Let the coloring begin: Connor is definitely more about the process of it all...

Cooper on the other hand - just plop it in!

The finished product.....(which I might add made some great sandwiches three days later)!

Then we were on to the cookies:

GO BLUE RACERS!!!! That's right soccer season officially began and Connor was ready to go:

It was a great game but unfortunately they lost (we are not supposed to be keeping score! They give them that speech that everyone is a winner - don't worry I had a talk with him in the car about that)!
Connor's cheering section - Thanks Carter and Beth for coming!!

Sunday Morning - HE HAS RISEN!!! As a mama of two young boyz, I really do desire for them to know the importance of the Resurrection and what it means - I mean I know they know that Jesus died on the cross and rose again but that was not on their little minds when they woke up because we had a visitor - the Easter Bunny! (he dropped off the baskets at the door because it was raining - thanks Bunny)!

After the kids came down from their Easter Bunny basket highs we were off to church!

After the egg hunt at church we were off to Brandi and Bryce's house. Coco (Brandi's mom) was still in town and she was making a southern Easter dinner - yum yum!!! You know that line you cross of comfortableness and being completely uncomfortable - oh yeah that was me after eating all that delicious food!!!
What seemed like an eternity to the boyz...it was finally time to start the final egg hunt - and we saved the best one for last!

I am not kidding when I say there were EGGS EVERYWHERE!!! Not only eggs either...there were toys, and Peeps, and eggs with money! I should have brought a basket for me!

Halfway through - Cooper decided to take a break!

Now it was time to go through the "treasure"!

The only thing that would have made this an absolutely perfect Easter was if my hubby would have been home! It is times like this, through all the separations and missed holidays, that I feel so blessed to have such amazing friends here in Whidbey!
Only two more days until my hubby is home....it's back to the To Do list!!
